Sockets Inc., headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Urabe, has entered into a partnership agreement with LyricFind Inc, (Head office: Toronto, Canada; CEO: Darryl Ballantyne).

Sockets, which owns a wide variety of music metadata in Japan, and LyricFind, which has licensed over 10 million lyrics globally, will work together to provide more international content in Japan, and to distribute information about Japanese music, which has been growing in popularity with anime and other cultures in recent years, to a wider audience overseas, including in the United States. The partnership with LyricFind, which licenses global lyrics data in excess of 9 million songs, will enable the distribution of more international content in Japan, as well as information on Japanese music, which has been growing in popularity along with anime and other cultural elements, to a wider audience in the United States and abroad.
