Accessibility Policy

Purpose

LyricFind Inc. (“LyricFind”) is is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for individuals with disabilities. We are committed to treating individuals with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and we are committed to meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and meeting our accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Ontario’s accessibility laws.

LyricFind is committed to meeting its current and ongoing obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code respecting non-discrimination.

LyricFind understands that obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its accessibility standards do not substitute or limit its obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code or obligations to individuals with disabilities under any other law

LyricFind is committed to excellence in serving and providing services or facilities to all clients and Employees including individuals with disabilities.

Our accessible service policies are consistent with the principles of independence, dignity, integration and equality of opportunity for individuals with disabilities.

Training

LyricFind is committed to training all Employees in Ontario’s accessibility standards and aspects of the Ontario Human Rights Code that relate to persons with disabilities.

In addition, we will train:

  1. all individuals who participate in developing the organization’s policies; and
  2. all other individuals who provide goods, services or facilities on behalf of the organization

Training of our Employees on accessibility relates to their specific roles.

Training includes:

  • purpose of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the requirements of the Customer Service Standards
  • our policies related to the Customer Service Standards
  • how to interact and communicate with individuals with various types of disabilities
  • how to interact with individuals with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or a support person
  • how to use the equipment or devices available on-site or otherwise that may help with providing goods, services or facilities to individuals with disabilities.
  • what to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty in accessing our organization’s services or facilities.

We train every individual as soon as practicable after being hired and provide training in respect of any changes to the policies.

We maintain records of the training provided including the dates on which the training was provided and the number of individuals to whom it was provided.

Communication

We communicate with individuals with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability and will work with the individuals with disabilities to determine what method of communication works for them.

Feedback

LyricFind welcomes feedback on how we provide accessible service. Feedback will help us identify barriers and respond to concerns.

Accessible Formats & Communication Supports

Upon request, LyricFind will provide, or will arrange to provide information in an accessible format and with communications support in a timely manner that takes into account an individual’s accessibility needs due to their disability.

LyricFind will consult with the individual making the request in determining the suitability of an accessible format or communication support.

Employment Standards

Recruitment

LyricFind will notify its Employees and the public about the availability ofaccommodation for applicants with disabilities in its recruitment process.

Recruitment, Assessment or Selection Process

LyricFind will notify job applicants selected to participate in an assessment or selection process that accommodations are available upon request relating to the materials or processes to be used.

If a selected applicant requests accommodation, LyricFind will consult with the applicant and provide, or arrange for the provision of, suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs relating to his or her disability.

Notice To Successful Applicants

When making offers of employment, LyricFind will notify the successful applicant of its policies for accommodating Employees with disabilities.

Informing Employees of Supports

LyricFind will continue to inform its Employees of its policies (and any updates to those policies) used to support Employees with disabilities, including policies on the provision of job accommodations that take into account an Employee’s accessibility needs due to disability. This information will be provided to new Employees soon as practicable after commencing employment.

Workplace Emergency Response

LyricFind will provide individualized workplace emergency response information to Employees who have a disability, if the disability is such that the individualized information is necessary, and if LyricFind is aware of the need for accommodation due to the Employee’s disability. LyricFind will provide this information as soon as practicable after becoming aware of the need for accommodation.

Where the Employee requires assistance, LyricFind will, with the consent of the Employee, provide the workplace emergency response information to the person designated by LyricFind to provide assistance to the Employee.

LyricFind will review the individualized workplace emergency response information when the Employee moves to a different location in the organization, when the Employees overall accommodations needs or plansare reviewed, or when LyricFind reviews its general emergency response policies.

Documented Individual Accommodation Plans

LyricFind will maintain a written process for the development of documented individual accommodation plans for Employees with disabilities.

If requested, information regarding accessible formats and communications supports available will also be included in individual

In addition, the plans will include individualized workplace emergency response information (where required), and will identify any other accommodation that is to be provided.
