Slacker Radio has quickly become one of the most popular streaming radio services available today. Early on in the life of Slacker, they approached LyricFind to include a feature their early users had been clamoring for: lyrics.

LyricFind and Slacker worked out a licensing arrangement that allowed unlimited lyrics to be available to all subscribers, with terms that grew with the service.

Slacker also uses snippets of lyrics and the lyrics themselves to encourage trial users to upgrade to a paid subscription. Trial users are shown the lyric snippets, with full lyrics only available to subscribers. The result has been a substantial uptake in subscription through the lyrics links, helping to propel the growth of Slacker as a whole.
